I keep coming back to call outs from Chicken Soup for the Soul… Mainly because they are always on the lookout for stories for their next books. They publish multiple books a year, that is what makes them such a great opportunity for writers.
Today’s article is focusing on their call out for stories about marriage and long lasting couples.
These can be stories of advice whether you received it or are giving it. Stories about how you met or starting over again with your marriage to save it. What do you do to make your marriage special? What have you done when trouble struck? How have you handled your in-laws?
I will point out, these are stories about relationships – not breakups.
What memory stands out when you think of your significant other? Write it down!
The due date for stories about marriage/couples is March 31, 2026.
A few guidelines:

The best part: You don’t need to make a query/cover letter. They don’t ask for one, just title, your information, and the story! AWESOME!
If accepted, you should hear back anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.
Now, go forth and write!
